Day 11 - #LOWREZJAM 2018
Awesome! Another day, another few hours of work!
So: the Overworld is more-or-less done save for item implementation, but the Underworld of the map still needs to be fleshed out. Thus, I added a few houses, making the south-eastern island a little more interesting. There's a barracks for the city as well, and a witch's hut in the forest.
Also, since the Forest is the only chokepoint in the entire game, it's high on my priority list to implement. And upon doing so, I added the HP and dying system in, although monsters are perma-dead for now. Until I can add items, NPCs also suffer the fate of perma-death, so the statue item will be of importance at some point. There's a single monster and a single NPC that will have this item, along with a single location in the world for the item to be picked up at. That should be the case for every item in the game, but for now, that's what I'm planning.
Also got around to adding my music tracks, and not just having one overworld track loop the entire time. Yes, they're all things I crafted in Famitracker, except for... one? One's a... I think I was messing around with a Sega Saturn or Sega Genesis tracker, so one music track uses that. In any case, I think it'll be fair enough for the Game Jam.
